State colors and sort order dynamically calculated.
Quiz randomly selects 5 questions based on user defined state. The answers automatically change as data is updated. User score card at end.
User custom tables and charts
Users can compare up to four states across 58 criteria. Each criteria generates a custom chart based on the selected set.
Charts
Using HighCharts we generate multiple chart types including custom designs on the fly. Charts have custom coloring based on the page they appear.
CSV Exports
Each chart has a download link for users to get the data and use in their own presentations.
We started by building a custom charting engine and used HighCharts for the front end. This combination allows the client to update not only data points, but chart titles, source data and even questions for the Flash quiz through a single back-end. Coupled with Drupal the client can edit any piece of data confident all appropriate places are current.
We are very proud of the custom charts but the site also makes extensive use of AJAX to create various views on a single page.
